31 Adult Beds  (Phase 1/Phase 2)

Our 10,000 square foot all-male campus has 31 beds total. Our building has two sides, side 1 and side 2, but all the same house.

Residents are on a restriction period for the first 30 days which includes limited cell phone/car use and limited passes/visitors. This is to allow our residents to become accustomed to our long-term program and the LRH schedules.

In addition to our commercial kitchen, residents have access to the two smaller kitchenettes, to prepare their own breakfast and lunch and free use of our in-house washer and dryer.

One hot prepared meal is served every day at 5 pm and is included in the weekly service fees.

Designated smoking/vaping is in the rear side of the building. There is a pool table within the rec area.

Residents are within walking distance right around the corner to Colombian Park & Free Zoo with a playground, picnic shelters, a full water park, fishing, basketball courts, and paddle boats.

Our home offers one large, shared dorm, along with multiple smaller shared bedrooms.

We are only 10 minutes from Lake Michigan and 30 minutes from Chicago. One good home cooked meal served a day.

We also have many local 12 step meetings and community organizations that have been supporting recovery for over 64 years.

Our only mission is to save lives!

Each home has been uniquely designed for those who have met all requirements for moving forward in their lives but, are not quite ready to live alone. Transitional housing is often a very crucial part of long-term recovery success.

This is what we do

The 3 Arm Recovery Pathways

1 – Moral Reconation Therapy-MRT®

As evidenced in more than 200 scholarly articles, MRT works because it changes the behaviors and decision-making errors that led to incarceration, addiction, and mental health issues in the first place. MRT helps people achieve long-term stability in their lives.

2 – The 12-Step Program of Recovery

The 12 steps are also used in recovery programs for addictions other than alcohol. CA, NA, GA, etc.

3 – We Recommend Having Faith

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12-step recovery program for anyone struggling with hurt, pain, or addiction of any kind. And a Better Life, Brianna’s Hope, providing hope through Christ to individuals and communities battling addiction.

One hot meal is provided. (Variety of food available for other meals). Free Wi-Fi, long-distance calling, washer/dryer, computer access, etc. Local AA/NA, Celebrate Recovery, Briana’s Hope, CA & HA. Our own 9-month “Sobriety School”. One-on-One sober coaching/mentoring with staff or approved mentor/sponsor.

New MRT Course (Moral Reconation Therapy) Evidence-based and registered with SAMSHA. (Local Recovery Coaches are also available.) Sober functions- Conventions, Retreats, Dances, Workshops, Speaker Jams, etc.

17 hours a week of documented recovery hours to create the foundation for a future abstinent-based “Recovery Lifestyle”. Local immediate employment including felons. 24/7 monitoring by our “live in” House Staff and ADT security system.

Random/regular U/A Drug & Alcohol breathalyzer testing. Access to discounted/free medical services, counseling, I.O.P & P.H.P. Assistance with GED, resume building, job search, and rebuilding life in recovery.

We encourage our clients to take natural vitamins & attend free membership at the local YMCA. Meditation, exercise, and proper rest are all part of a “holistic” approach to recovery.
